Hi, I am Austin, and I love working with noise in most every form. I grew up making music in bands and on my own, and soon developed a passion for capturing it as well. That path led me to earn a degree in Recording Arts at Studio West in 2013, followed by an ongoing role as a resident engineer at the legendary Big Fish Recording Studio in San Diego. Since 2023, I’ve been based in Los Angeles while continuing to travel throughout Southern California for projects. 

 

Working on a wide variety of projects and genres over the last 12 years has taught me a lot about the technical side of recording music, but mostly I’ve learned the importance of creating the right space for music to speak through the performer and eventually the speakers. 

 

Whether you need music made for a video project or some help producing an idea that’s been kicking around in your voice memos app, I enjoy adapting my role to best serve the project and help it get to the finish line smoothly.
